world of Tamriel. The words are listed alphabetically and contain a brief description along
with possibly a picture or how to pronounce it. If you can't find the word you're looking for,

- Ra Gada
- Old form referring to the Yokudan people. The Ra Gada became phonetically the Redguards.
- Ranger
- A Ranger can be classed as a warrior of the woods given their knowledge of combat and
nature. They are unparalled in forest combat and travelling and are often exceptionally
adept at archery. Being warriors, a Ranger must be strong and hardy to survive.
- Reachmagic
- A form of magic practiced by the Reachmen of the Western Reach bordering Skyrim and High Rock. Reachmagic
is strongly influenced by the magic of the Orcs who share the Reach with the Reachmen.
The magic is still widely studied although banned by the Mages Guild who fear it as dangerous and wild.
- Reachmen
- Reachmen are a mongrel breed composed of nearly every race on Tamriel who live in the Western Reach bordering
Skyrim and High Rock. Although the Elven Overlords were killed when the Reach was 'freed', Aldmeri blood is still
strong in the Reachmen and share many Elven traits. They also learned customs and magic from the Orcs who share
the mountains of the Reach. The Reachmagic is still widely studied although banned by the Mages Guild who fear
it as dangerous and wild. Reachmen are often refered to as the Witchmen of High Rock.
- Redguard
- Name of the race of those from the province of Hammerfell. Redguards are among the most
skilled and elite warriors of Tamriel with their quickness and high constitution. They are
typical above average in height and build with dark skin and features.
- The most naturally talented warriors in Tamriel, the dark-skinned, wiry-haired Redguards of Hammerfell seem born
to battle, through their pride and fierce independence of spirit makes them more suitable as scouts or skirmishers, or as
free-ranging heros and adventurers, than as rank-and-file solders. In addition to their culteral affinities for many weapon
and armor styles, Redguards are also physically blessed with hardy constitutions and quickess of foot (MW Manual).

- Redoran
- One of the five Great Clans of Morrowind, Redoran guards the western portains of
Morrowind and are widely known as the best warriors in the province.
- Reman Dynasty
- Refers to the approximate first half of the Second Empire in the history of Cyrodiil.
- Restoration
- This magic skill can heal, restore, and fortify the body's attributes and abilities, cure disease and protect it from other
malign influences. Restoration spells can also augment or absorb strength, endurance, intelligence, agility and other bodily attributes.
The skill is governed by the user's willpower (MW Manual).
- Riglametha
- A local holiday celebrated on the twelfth of Hearth Fire every year by the people of the Hammerfell
township and barony of Lainlyn. Riglametha in the Banthan dialect of the ancient Redguard
tongue means "grateful-offering" and is a festival of the graces the gods have granted the people of Lainlyn
over the centuries. Tradition dictates the performance of a number of plays about the great moments from Lainlyn's
past, and one of the most popular is Ghraewaj.
- Ritual, The
- One of the 13 major constellation birthsigns. Those born under the Ritual can heal themselves and turn the undead.
- Rogue
- Unlike most of the thiefly classes, a Rogue is much more suited to combat and is often
called as fighter-thief. Strength, for the combat, and speed, for the thief, are the
essential attributes.
- RPG
- Short for Role Playing Game.
